All the demons that have haunted Henriksen might have turned his painting dark and gloomy. But his canvases are quite the opposite - full of light! The artist feels close to the surrealists but also experiences his feelings as an abstract expressionist! His role of artist is to translate, transcend, entertain and aid the viewer with their own inner dialogue. He also describes his paintings as being "human photo synthesis".
